This study examines ethical challenges arising from artificial intelligence use in science and education. It explores how automation affects human creativity within academic and research settings. The research aims to identify adoption patterns, ethical concerns, and legal gaps shaping this relationship. It asks how current law addresses these emerging challenges effectively. The study uses a qualitative approach, combining doctrinal and document analysis methods. Legal texts came from Uzbekistan’s official portal, while scholarly sources came from peer-reviewed journals. Findings show growing AI adoption alongside mixed views on creativity and academic integrity. Uzbekistan’s Law No. LRU-1115 offers broad AI regulation but lacks education-specific provisions. The study proposes an amendment addressing disclosure, authorship, and institutional accountability directly. Recommendations include teacher training, ethical review committees, and AI literacy programs. These measures support responsible AI adoption while protecting academic integrity and creativity. The findings offer practical guidance for policymakers and educational institutions navigating similar challenges globally.
